Honduras Santa Elena Catracha Jose Blas Ventura Vásquez is sourced from a family-owned farm in collaboration with Catracha Coffee Company. Jose “Blas” Ventura Vásquez produced this micro-lot on a 6 acre farm called Huerta Vieja located in the municipality of Santa Elena within the department of La Paz, Honduras. Catracha Coffee works with a select group of farmers who participate in monthly educational seminars to improve upon their coffee production. These capacity building opportunities have helped Blas increase yields and improve the quality of his coffee. Blas receives all the profits associated with the sale of his exported coffee, which is the main source of income for him, his wife Dorila Elizabet, and 3 daughters.
